- Never get a gas cylinder without a clear label, damage shell or incomplete stuff.
- Ensure proper label attached to the cylinder. It should be clear and easy to find. This is very important to prevent the misuse of some gases.
- Is its shell in good condition? Is it already anticipated?
- Are its accessories such as regulator pressure control, valves, pressure gauge, valves and safety caps complete and in good condition?
- It is to be stored in an upright position.
- Keep the safety cap on when it is not in use.
- Keep it in the proper storage area. It has to be free from ignition sources, heat sources and good ventilation.
- Is it stored safely? It should be secured by lower and upper chains to prevent it from falling.
- Don't forget to check the status of the chain. In general, corrosion is the main problem of chains.
- Is the storage area free of vehicle and forklift traffic?
- Separate flammable and flammable gases as per standard.
- Ensure that there is no stock of cylinders. More cylinders mean more hazards.
- Empty and complete cylinder separated.
- Keep marking appropriate for this purpose.
- Use hand truck to transport cylinders.
- Ensure that the capacity of the hand truck is sufficient.
- Hand truck maintenance is done regularly.
- Never use a damaging truck to transport the cylinder.
- Only trained people can use, transport and store cylinders.
- Are pressure tests done regularly every five years?
